Hold On and Lean

Spent a good part of today up at Tail of the Dragon learning to pan. But I got so caught up into getting a freeze action shot I forgot to lower my shutter speed to blur the background better.

That would have forced me to learn to pan better but I still had fun being up there. That is what it is all about.

This one is absolutely outstanding!!! You can actually see the expresion on the riders faces. The way you capured the power of the bike along with the intensity of the rider. Awesome!

The Dragon usually claims a few lives every year as people come from all over the world to ride it. It's located just north of Deals Gap on Highway Hwy 129. It makes 318 turns in 11 miles and young people on rice burners scream around those turns protected only by their reflexes and that cloak of invulnerability know as youth. I have seen some truly amazing things up there and a few serious accidents. It is not one of my favorite rides as it is too much work for a heavy Harley but I have gone that way 8-10 times. Always interesting and this photo captures the action very well. Voted.
