As you can see this class is about lighting not focusing.
Well tonight was my final studio lighting class. Tonight's topic was alternative lighting. We discussed things like painting with light, alternative light sources and techniques to use them "correctly".
Buddy, the instructor, asked my to bring in my wireless studio setup and demonstrate it and talk about it's pros and cons.
I use speedlites instead of the more popular pro studio lights like White-Lighting or Alien Bees or Novatron and so on.
This is a very informal class so we didn't even set up a product or model, we have on other nights but tonight was a wrap up night of talk. I just handed my flashes to two of the other students and asked them to point them at her.
I was more talking than paying attention so I didn't notice that I was out of focus.
It was a nice class overall but could have been more structured. Some of the more experienced shooters took over their groups and some folks that have never even used a light meter before didn't get much of a chance to interact with the equipment. But this was the first time the class was taught here so there is much room for improvement and the instructor is aware of that.
Next class starts this week. PHOTOSHOP for PHOTOGRAPHERS. So beware of what I will be posting in the upcomming weeks.
