This gallery leads to sub-galleries containg photos of urban trails in King and Pierce counties of Washington State that have maintenance problems. The primary problem is intrusion by vegetation. Blackberry vines are the greatest offender and grow aggressively. Regular maintenance does not keep up with the growth. As a resuly, vines crawl onto trails or hangg down from above into the space used by walkers and cyclists. These situations are both inconvenient and hazardous to trail users.
