River bench, looking south

Colorado River, below Shafer Trail, Utah

Looking back toward the landscape I have just walked through. Here the bench is
angling downward toward a depression (see next photo). The weird shadowy formation
at upper right is part of the ridge atop the mesa of The Goose Neck.
