The light-colored concrete with the straight borders is the top of the boat
ramp. The Colorado River is just to the left of the forest of tamarisk trees.
The trees conceal an unofficial campground having several cozy sites.

Here the road---out of view to the right---changes from asphalt to dirt and
ascends two hills to reach several bright blue salt evaporation ponds.
