This view shows a partially-developed portion of the Homestead housing area in eastern Maricopa. Land has been graded, swales dug, streets paved, utilities installed, sidewalks built, and a few boundary walls erected. Three or four walls are visible, including a long one running from the left edge of the photo to the center of the image (it partially obscures the house and blends in with the dirt). From that wall to the road is about 720 feet (213 m). The previous photo defines this empty land as a future site for a school.
In this stage of construction the place has a surreal mood.
The view is southeastward on Continental Boulevard, north of Honeycutt Road.
Photographed while I sat on my recumbent trike.
