This Washoe County (Nevada) road sign was the only evidence that I had passed from northeastern California into northwestern Nevada. I felt cheated that I was not greeted at the border by a huge billboard proclaiming "Welcome to Nevada." This dismal episode will for forever taint my travels through Nevada.
The sign says this is mile point 128 of State Route 447. This road took me to Gerlach and the Black Rock Desert.
