In the distance the mud is dry enough to prevent the mud from sticking to the tires, but still moist enough to allow the tires to sink in slightly, which requires extra pulling or pushing effort. In the middle is a patch of pure Hell: the wet mud stuck to the tires, causing them to stop turning and skid through the wet, slippery stuff. My boots picked up mud too. At bottom I hit “dry” land again, where I stopped to clean the tires and my boots. Geo-tagging is approximate.
