Subic rainforest after a typhoon

Fatbirder's Top 1000 Birding Websites

I haven't birded for over three weeks, and withdrawal symptoms are starting to manifest themselves. So I hied off to Subic rainforest for a quickie birding fix, never mind that the tailend of typhoon "Domeng" is still within the western horizon. It was raining cats and dogs the afternoon I got there. But the sun showed itself briefly the following morning, allowing me some close shots at a Philippine Serpent-Eagle.

No lifers this time, just some shots of Subic regulars, but I got my fix and I should be behaving normally for the next couple of days or so....;-)
