I visited Pinagbayanan, San Juan, Batangas to do more field tests on my replacement 7D, and the Egrets and Herons didn't disappoint.
I also had my closest encounter yet with a Whimbrel and an Asian Golden-Plover, both in sweet, late afternoon light. :)
Whimbrel (Numenius phaeopus, migrant) Habitat - Along the coast in grassy marshes, mud and on exposed coral flats, beaches and sometimes in ricefields. Whimbrel (Numenius phaeopus, migrant)

Habitat - Along the coast in grassy marshes, mud and on exposed coral flats, beaches and sometimes in ricefields.
