Mt. Makiling - Part VII

No trace of either the Tarictic Hornbill or Philippine Trogon during this rain-soaked Makiling trek. But I got four lifers instead - 3 endemics and a near endemic.

Thanks to Steve Pryor and other birders, I'm getting more confident in bird ID. I'll try my hand on these ones - corrections are welcome...8-)

Yellow-bellied Whistler Yellow-bellied Whistler (a Philippine endemic) Scientific name - Pachycephala philippinensis philippinensis Habitat - Common in all forest levels. Thanks, Steve. I had fun... and my bad cold turned worse because of the rain exposure. But I'll happily trade clogged nasals for one endemic lifer anyday...8-)

Romy, Good job on the ID's. An A+ with no mistakes. Must have had fun this day!!!
