This small wagtail-like bird crossed my path as I was going up Makiling. In my haste to take a shot, the flash hit part of the white window frame of my Kia 4x4, causing an anomaly at the right portion of the pic. The bird flew away before I can take another shot.

I was debating with myself for over 24 hours whether to include the pic in this gallery or not. After careful analysis of the description in the Kennedy Guide, I feel there are enough data in the pic to make a positive ID - the distinctive wing pattern, the 2 breast bands and the white underparts, plus the relatively small size and location. I'm therefore confident that this is a Forest Wagtail and not a White Wagtail.

Any views or comments to confirm the ID or rebut it are most welcome.

Cheers!
