As news of political disturbance in Manila came over the radio while I was driving home from Subic, I decided to detour to Candaba to let the traffic subside before entering the city. The ducks were all there and the egrets have started to change into their breeding plumage. A couple of hours of birding rewarded me with close up pics of the endemic Philippine Duck.
