I came home from work today to find out we’d had a hailstorm. That’s kind of good because we need rain desperately but it’s also kind of bad. Why? Well this is the cushion of one of our garden chairs. It is now saturated again.
For some reason, they don’t seem to dry out properly if they get wet so when it happens, it can be weeks before they are OK for use again.
It’s particularly annoying because I had put them out to dry after they got wet last week and this morning as I passed them to go and feed the wabbit and hens before work, I squeezed one and it was dry. I didn’t have time to take them indoors so I took a risk and now they are soaked again. Pah!
Ah well, on the bright side, it gave me my photo opportunity and I must say I quite like the shallow depth of field showing the line of in-focus fabric and then nothing other than mist and bokeh.
It’s just as well I found a pic easily because I’m still not recovered from my trip and still don’t think I can be very lucid about much tonight.
Thanks to all my pbase friends and guests for the wonderful batch of comments recently – I’m thrilled. My little sis mentioned that I never respond to any of them and it’s true that I’m not the best at keeping up with my correspondence but it doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate it. Thanks all.
I may even go over a million hits tonight……now that’s quite something.
Two years ago I took a fairly crappy pic of an adder hiding under the edge of our conservatory....and last year I was admiring my view!
