I've whinged before about rarely being the recipient of flowers - for some reason me and cut flowers just don't seem to strike a chord in people - maybe I'm just too matter of fact and not pretty enough for people to want to lavish them on me - who knows? It's such a shame because I really, really appreciate flowers in the house.

On the very odd occasion when I'm given flowers it's a huge treat so today's delivery of a bouquet of a dozen long-stemmed yellow roses (matching our lounge) was both a huge surprise and a huge pleasure to receive. The florist had even trimmed off all the thorns so I couldn't hurt myself arranging them.

As you know I also love my floral close-ups (as evidenced in many of my galleries) so out came the macro lenses and here is the result.
