I was completely appalled on my way home from work this evening.
We needed petrol for the car and so stopped in our local petrol station (Tesco). On my way into the booth to pay for the petrol, a disabled man was attempting to call a member of staff for assistance in filling his tank. I walked into the room to hear the two assistants arguing about who should go to help him. They made it quite clear that neither wanted to and kept the poor man waiting several minutes while they argued over it. One of the two eventually begrudgingly went out to assist.
How unbelievably mean and inconsiderate is that?
Tesco's slogan is 'Every Little Helps' - well in my petrol station it would seem that this only applies if you are able to get out of your car and help yourself to the petrol. Hmmmm.
Will I go there again? Not on your life. I'll buy my petrol from elsewhere in future.
