My fixation with the wonderful PA Cresta continues......I still dream of the day that I could even have a ride in one (yes, a trip around the block in one would be more exciting than I could stand, I've never even had that pleasure).
Sadly, my dream of owning one of these magnificent beasts seems to continue to recede all the time. The cars themselves get older so there are fewer of them and I'd need a house with a garage to keep such a classic car inside.
David has beaten me to the space in our garage with his new old beetle arriving in around three weeks time so no room at the inn for a Cresta! Ah well, another unfulfilled dream bites the dust!
We were out today at a Beetle Swap-Meet (don't ask!) and we saw this little scale model of my (almost) perfect car so he bought it for me. The only way this could be bettered in my humble opinion is if it had a three window back - the ultimate dream machine in my Cresta fantasy, especially in this two-tone pink.
Oh how I would love a trip in one - that'd fulfil at least a part of my dream, until the day I can persuade someone to take me out in one, I'll just have to make do with this little substitute!
Thanks David - I love my very own little pink Cresta, pictured here with another model of my first ever car, a Ford Anglia 105e. (For the rest of you, David will probably tell me that my posting is too sad again, just like the motorbike one!)
