Yesterday, when we past this spot, there was horizontal rain and a biting wind. Today? Well, as you can see it’s glorious.

Our weekends are super-precious now that we’re both working full time so we’re filling them with lovely stuff with the pooches because their lives have changed quite a lot since the change. They’ve fallen into the new routines extremely well and now know exactly when their walks are going to happen each day but in the week now it’s mostly in the dark. We’ve discovered that they are equally adept at the tennis ball game in the pitch dark and bring the ball back with equal verve as when they are sighted. It’s amazing but true.

They don’t complain though, when they get super-long walks at the weekend and they have even managed to entice a total stranger into a game of tennis ball while we were out today. JD just marched up to her, plonked the ball down at her feet and then looked back and forth between her face and the ball until she was in no doubt as to his requirement. She threw the ball, he took it back to her again, she threw it again and he had to be wrestled away!!!

I’m forever amazed at how they can cajole people into providing them with exactly what they want.
