Most of us tend to put off living. . .
Do you keep dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon
Or do you enjoy the roses blooming outside your window today?

One man free from his journey and others trapped as the continue theirs. Excellent.

Cool! I also like the layers...the way the three figures blend in to each other suggests not only do they share the same passing moment in time but there is some greater link between them, as if a farewell has just taken place. I like how there is a difference in the glances too - the children look with interest at the outside world whereas the man has suspicion in his eyes as he spots a photographer at work.

You include a lot of meanings in your pictures, Ai Li.
Admirable thoughtful photography.

This image is so rich in metaphors it's almost frightening. Like looking into the future through the children's eyes and dreams. Do they see themselves in the reflected man, or do they see escape? Your ghosts are helping you tell the story, Ai Li.

Awesome candid. Off to see the others that I've missed.

Their world seems to be so closed, so small, and your choice of composition emphasizes this idea. And the "rose garden" is a dream, but does not look to be that close!
A very thoughtful image!

You are the story teller on Pbase. Excellent shot.

Impressive and powerful. So many things to wonder about...stories told within your work. That is what always amazes me. It is more than just a picture, it is a story waiting to be told. Brava, Ai Li!

Layer tasticALly brilliant........... we must look deeper into the image...has she just woken.......is she miles apart from the other sleeper..is she in another place it can go on.......the fleeting glance as these 3 souls shared the same space for a moment in time. Great observation and timing Ai Li

Another thought-provoking image.
We should all live now...right now.

I wonder where this was taken ...
The layers of the image seem to have some relationship to each other. Rather effective; it gives me a rather wistful feeling.

No roses here but I do enjoy the succulents!
