Pipevine Swallowtail

Battus philenor>

Pipevine Swallowtails occur thoughout the eastern US. They are multi-brooded,
flying in spring, summer, and fall. Large numbers may occur where their
host plants are plentiful. Males gather in groups with other butterflies to
sip nutrients from wet sand or muddy roads. Both sexes may be nectaring at a variety of flowers.
