Note: This species appears to be declining

in this area. This is the first specimen I have
observed in 5 years as noted by dates of my photos.
The Cornell Lab of Ornithology reports that general
populations have declined by about 52% between
1966 and 2015.The western populations of the bird
is a candidate for Federal Endangered Status.
