Great Egret with Yellow Feet

This gallery is an account of a Great Egret (Ardea alba) with yellow feet observed
in a lagoon in Auburn, Alabama on 8/24/20. It is unclear whether the yellow is due to lagoon mud
adhering to the feet or the bird is an aberrant for due to hybridization with a Snowy Egret
(which has yellow feet), a mutational event, or some other biological phenomenon. There is
another account of a similar observation in Minnesota in 2018. A photo of that bird is also
included in this gallery. I am calling for any comments or opinions by registering them in the comments section of this gallery.
