Giant Swallowtails occur throughout the eastern US, although they are seldom
found in large numbers. They are multi-brooded, flying spring, summer, and
fall. These large swallowtails are found in open natural habitats as well as
landscapes that include various citrus trees or Common Rue, a perennial
herb. They nectar at a variety of flowers and also feed from non-floral
sources like mud, dung, and carrion. Males puddle.
