Storeria dekayi. This snake is also know as the brown snake.
There are 7 recognized subspecies of this snake. In Alabama, there are 3
intergading species, S.d. dekayi(Northern brownsnake), S.d. limnetes (Marsh Brownsnake)
and S.d. wrightorum(Midland Brownsnake)
