Since I'd never seen the vibrant "Scott's Broom", I took lots of pictures of it (and later deleted many). As bright as it looked to me, Cassie said it had been in "full bloom" a few weeks ago and wasn't near as pretty now. Early immigrants from Scotland brought it over from their native land. They used it for landscaping but also to make their brooms out of, hence the name.
