Barry M. Goldwater Range

A good photographer.. no matter how historic or impressive the view and site, you get down and take a macro photo of?? ...a nail? a piece of wood? Way to go Jason :)

I went ahead and registered so now I can share the photo I was taking in a comment:

I wouldn't quite call that 16-35 f/2.8 a macro, with the 1.6x factor of the sensor on the 50D I was using I could get close...but not quite macro close. And yes it was a photo of a piece of wood. I tried to share a link to the photo but pbase rejected my comments when I did :(

And yes, I spend a lot of time on the ground when I'm shooting. It's a view most people never get to see and most photographers don't want to subject themselves to - but for me it's as natural as breathing.
