Day 1 (Friday)--left, ate at Texas BBQ in Atlanta TX just outside Texarkana where you get onto I-30. Cooled off at Bradley Park upon arrival in Jasper. Checked into cabin #14, we walked to nearby grocery store, I prepared Jalapeno Chicken Chili for overnight slow cooking.

Day 2 (Saturday)--After enjoying Chicken Chili on porch in the cool early morning, and getting a deal on also getting cabin #13 (just like last year, only in reverse), we went to Ponca Access where you can jump off a short (5 foot or so) bridge into the Buffalo River, as we did last year. Re-shot barn on Highway 74 on the way up. Then went to Lost Trail, a spot we were at last year that my wife wanted to explore more than but I didn't care for, but we tried again--it was much better this year, the waterfalls were much better & we got several good photos. We then went to Lower Pruitt.

Day 3 (Sunday). Tried out new spots from the "Swimming Holes of the Ozarks" & "Waterfall of Arkansas" books we have. After a quick dip in Bradley Park, went to "Falling Water Falls," we 3 jumped in. Tried to check out "Intersection Falls" & others but locals said they saw none running. With no Atlas or other means of getting a "bird's eye/overview" of where we were in relation to other spots in the book, we were going to go to Carver (saved on the GPS from last year) but found "Pedestal Rocks King's Bluff," a look-out nearby. There wasn't much to it. Tired & hungry, we went to Upper/Lower Pruitt & then ate at Ozark Cafe. We later noticed (at home, via Google Earth) that Carver, Sam's Throne & Eagle Cafe (for eating), all spots we enjoyed last year & that weren't strenuous, were all close together & not far away and somewhat on the way back home. Next year we're going to take "Microsoft Streets & Trips" with us on a laptop, this is sort of like Google Earth but without the need for Internet. And don't forget the Atlas!!

Day 4 (Monday). Departure day. We returned to Ponca, also checking out Steel Creek on the way, got lots of scenic shots at both places. Ate at Hardee's in Russellville ARK on the way home.
