I cooked breakfast that morning as the diner was closed. (Also, while there Monday we learned that it was due to be bought out in August, meaning it won't be here for us next year.) The day was somewhat hectic. Kevin went off on his own (I believe to a spot on Highway 14?) Helen had a bug in her ear and needed doctor treatment. She had a 4 pm appointment. We went to Falling Waterfalls (after shortly trying to check out "Zack Ridge" only to give up due to time constraints). It had resurged a lot and was in the best condition it had been in for years. However I was stressed due to the time constraints and due to how REALLY curvy (to me) the roads were, plus there was no cell phone service for nearly the entire drive.
While at Falling Waterfalls we quickly zipped down to Six Finger Falls, which was flowing pretty good. (Once again, Richlands beckoneed, once again, I didn't due to the longer drive on the gravel road, which was in fairly rutty condition, plus again the time constraints due to her doctor appointment.) We then took Helen to her doctor appointment (in Clinton), barely making it in time. We 3 ate at a McDonald's while waiting for her, checked out the spot in town from last year called Branch Hollow (puny spot, not much to it, but I got good scenery shots anyway), then returned to the cabin where I made taco spaghetti (had to use ground turkey, they were out of ground beef).
