Perhaps not a super vivid colour, but colourful anyway. Two Primrose moths in an Evening Primrose flower, the flower they use almost exclusively, hence their common name.
I love this! I don't think they are romancing each other sharing the drop of nectar down in the flower. Have not seen these on our Evening Primroses but I wish we did. We get visits from a variety moths and other pollinators. BV
The moths could be part of the flower, as I first thought they were. However, given their specialisation, the colour contrast and thus lack of camouflage is surprising.
