Treehopper nymphs (Publilia sp.)

Reveler Conservation Area

A cluster of nymphs on a goldenrod stem, being attended by ants. The ants protect these guys, in return for which they get to eat the sweet honeydew secreted by both adult and nymph treehoppers.
