Widefooted Treehopper (Enchenopa latipes)

Mer Bleue area

An adult treehopper on a goldenrod plant. This one had an ant attached to its body for quite some time. Once again, this is an example of a mutually beneficial relationship... the ants get the sweet honeydew secreted by the hoppers, and they protect the bugs in return.
