Treehoppers mating (Xantholobus sp.)

K&P trail, Lanark County

A very tiny pair of treehoppers (about 4 or 5 mm), but colourful and nicely patterned. The male is the dark one on the left. With some species the two sexes are so different as to appear to be of completely different species. Previously the genus was named Cyrtolobus.
