Treehopper (Acutalis tartarea)

Reveler Conservation Area

A very tiny treehopper, often almost invisible against the stems of plants. I have mostly found this species on goldenrods in mid-summer to early autumn. This is probably Acutalis tartarea.

Beautiful, Christine. I have seen their spittle many times in the field but not the bug itself. Excellent work. Vote.

Nice view of this tiny treehopper! Plenty of Goldenrod here but I doubt we've got this little one!
