When groundhogs appear, we know spring is here, even if there is still deep snow on the ground. The grizzled oldtimer is taking stock of his surroundings.
Perfect timing to capture this old groundhog, and nicely composed as well. He looks a bit surprised to be having his picture taken the moment he sticks his head out for a look. V.
