Decorated owlet (Pangrapta decoralis), #8490

This is an unusually shaped and distinctive owlet moth, in the family Erebidae. The only larval host plant appears to be blueberries, which are common in the greenspace where this was found.

It is an odd shape. It seems almost like a crumpled piece of paper. Great close up. V.
