Spring peeper

While we were looking for moths at night in Larose Forest, this tiny spring peeper began climbing up the sheet, no doubt looking for moths. I eventually moved it because I was worried that he might get crushed if he fell off, for he'd be impossible to see on that pitch dark night... the only light coming from the black light, headlamps and flashlights.

Super shot showing the pattern on his back and the tiny "suction caps" on his feet.

You are interesting, going out with headlamps and flashlights. At first, in the thumbnail image, I thought it was an underwater shot looking up at this frog.
What a wonderful little guy he is.

I'm always amazed they can move at all. They just look like they have far too many joints! LOL Great catch!

I never knew why the spring peepers used to climb up the glass window by my front door at night...guess they were looking for moths. Cool photo. Thanks for the info!
