Probable Marsh Fly in the Genus Tetanocera

I was sitting in my garden a few summers ago, when this pretty fly landed on a banana peel. It stayed around long enough for me to take some photos and then vanished. I did not see any more like this around the garden again. I am pretty sure it is a Marsh Fly, a Sciomyzidae, but because I saw it away from a wetland I was not entirely sure. However, no other ID seems to fit, so unless I find out differently along the way, I'll call it a Marsh Fly. It certainly has the colour, size, shape, wing patterns, etc. of the Tetanocera genus.

Yes what large eyes. He must have thought he had died and gone to heaven with that banana peel.
