Andrenid bees on Red Maple sap

In the last photo I posted I showed a closeup of one bee. Here is part of the aggregation of Andrenid bees gathering to feed on maple sap in Larose Forest. These are very early emerging bees, and quite small, measuring about 1/2 inch.
