Raccoon

Taken at the Fletcher Wildlife Garden in a large willow tree that has now, unfortunately, been severely damaged and lost this particular, large branch the animal was sitting on. This tree has long been a favourite with raccoons because it it tall and the branches are substantial, providing terrific resting places. We don't see a lot of raccoons at the Fletcher garden, but every so often one appears.

A most interesting animal and great animal portrait with excellent light. What do raccoons do for a living?
