Bruce's spanworm (Operophtera bruceata) #7437

Found on a buckthorn leaf at McKay Lake in Rockcliffe Park. Typically they are late flyers, and can be found well into fall. The photo doesn't show how damp it was. It was unmoving, except for its antennae. Drying out I think, from a light shower.
