Panellus stipticus

This species was found on a well-rotted birch log at the Fletcher Wildlife Garden in Ottawa. The log was so decayed that it could be squeezed like tissue. This fungus glows in the dark, hence one of its common names is Luminescent panellus!

A perfect specimen. I love the patterns in these fungi.
