This is one of five Milbert's tortoiseshells that were hanging around a patch of coltsfoot flowers, on a steep west-facing bank of the South Nation River, at Larose Forest.
Gasp, incredibly beautiful, a very fine capture of this gloriously colored butterfly. Very striking and the colt's foot is something I have never seen growing. VVV
Wow...how absolutely gorgeous!!! This tortoiseshell is one of my favourite butteflies. I love the colours, and they are especially striking against the yellow flower. V
