Today I went with a friend to Larose Forest where we spent the day walking, looking for birds and insects, and photographing. Not many birds, but a lot of insects. This is a 2nd generation Milbert's Tortoiseshell and will overwinter as an adult under the bark of a tree or in a hollow log.
