This huge old walnut tree in the Arboretum has had a good crop of nuts. A red squirrel has been busy collecting and storing them. This was taken in early October. By winter, the walnuts will have been stored off the ground and others distributed around the tree, in cracks and crevices, all ready for the cold season!
