Beaverpond baskettail (Epitheca canis)

larose Forest. All along the trail there were numerous dragonflies, mostly Beaverpond baskettails. Amazingly cooperative, they sat and waited while I took many photos. There is a large wetland area not far south of Clarence-Cambridge Rd. along Perron Rd. and the odonates were even more numerous there.

Fantastic! Beautiful light and color here. Love the details, especially the thorns on the stalk. Very well done and a beautiful bug! V
