January and February

Went from Brunswick to Weverton on a cold cloudy morning looking for the ruins at Weverton. I did not find them.

The next weekend I was at Harpers Ferry on a cold morning. Parts of the river had iced up. This is the first time I am seeing this happen.

Went to Point of Rocks on the 1st of February. The trail was covered with ice. I made it Catoctin Creek and beyond!

The next weekend I went up to Big Pool. The weather was really nice. I did not need my gloves and cap. The ice on the trail had all melted. I got the picture of the railroad bridge at Big Pool that I was looking for.

The weekend after this I did not have much time and just ran between Carderock and Great Falls. It was colder than I expected.

There's some ruins on the river bank that are pretty hard to see unless it's winter. They're just before you get to the lock at Weverton- ( probably 200 yards before there) when you're headed towards Harpers Ferry from Brunswick.
