The Capital Crescent trail runs over the right of way of the old Georgetown Branch of the B&O railroad. The last train ran on this line in 1985. This picture was taken from a bridge of the railroad line that used to carry the tracks over the C&O canal. The trail follows the route of the old tracks to Bethesda.
