Lying in bed contemplating Jane Austin by jono slack

In Bed

The dawn glances through the window like this for a few minutes for a week or two each year.
This was taken a few minutes after dawn this morning lying in bed, hand held, with my head carefully wedged against the pillows!
The books are an old edition of Jane Austin

The simple geometry on this picture works very well for me. MCsaba

I'm glad you've found something better to read than Pynchon. - Warren

I've always wondered how comfortable it is reading in bed on a brass bedstead. Don't the rails dig into your back through the pillows while you're sitting propped up? It's always put me off them, and i've never met an owner to ask.

Hi Flick - thank you.
As for grown up - I don't think so! we have an old cast iron bath in the middle of it, and a lot of clutter, together with an old brass bedstead. But it gets sunshine all day in the winter (south facing, with windows on 3 sides) which is lovely.

Nice Jono, lovely pattern of light and shadow, with the angle of the window panes going against the angle of the eaves. Your bedroom looks much more grown up than mine.
