The Return of the Two Trees by Jono Slack

The Grey's pond

These are the trees from the 19th competition - in different light and without their leaves. I suppose it's too samey, but I love them!

Look at all that snow! We were promised heavy snow today in Beckenham but not a single flake. Rain all day. - Dave M

HI There - David - yes, clock is right (we're a long way north here you know!).
Tim - no tripod - but I think most of us can hold 10mm still at 1/45th - the trouble was the shivering - -5, no gloves brrrrrrr! Now it's snowing again. There was a little pp to bring out the snow in the foreground, but not much.
kind regards jono

Another stunner but now I've worked out your guilty secret. You use a tripod. Hmm, or maybe that really wide lens means you don't need one. Oh go on, tell me: how do you get such lovely sharp pictures with such gorgeously graduated colour? Do you bracket? I NEED TO KNOW! ;-) Tim

I actually like this better than the previous one.
The trees have a sculptural quality, stripped down, and the colours are beautiful.
Flick.

Hi Jono, samey or not, it is very lovely. Do you have the clock set accurately in your D200; if so, how early in the afternoon is sunset where you are! You use that 10-20 lens to such great advantage...love the perspective here. -- DF
