11 November 2004 - Just a quick test shot (blown highlights and all) for my new NodalNinja. NodalNinja is a great and affordable panoramic head produced by Nick Fan at www.digital-initiatives.com ( see http://www.pbase.com/digital_initiatives/nodal_ninja_sph1 ). Compact and lightweight, yet sturdy and precise is the perfect panoramic bracket for my prosumer. I plan to do a more in depth evaluation but it will take some time for other commitments...I just could not resist to at least try one challenging setup.
Here as a first test I tried a indoor shot with objects very close to the camera. It is a stitch of 7 images done in PanoramaFactory with no retouching at all. It was shot at 28 mm using my A1 with the battery pack installed.
Note that I have not yet set up precisely all the distances etc, and I shot this with a small (not particulary stable) tripod... so it's only going to get better. NN has passed it's first test with flying colors!
